Trick-or-Treat

Halloween Finally came and we couldn't have been more ready for it. I was about Halloweened out and Seth was so ready to trick or treat and get candy he was about to explode! He'd been practicing trick-or-treating at home.

We got the kids all ready ...

tried to get a picture of them together ... it wasn't exactly working out

Shelby kept sabotaging the photo by grabbing Seth's ear and hair right when they were both smiling. She got a big kick out of it anyway ...

This picture just makes me laugh. On most days they are the best of friends!

We went over to our friend's house the Chapmans for Halloweening! Seth is friends with Jake and Ayden and we crashed their party to trick-or-treat in a place with lots of kids. It was so much fun and Seth had a blast!

Everyone sits outside in this neighborhood, so it was kind of cute seeing all the kids running up to the doors and scouting out which houses were next!

Check out Seth's loot!

Shelby had fun too and stayed up way past her bedtime!

We had such a fun night and a great Halloween throughout the week! Can anyone else believe that October is already over? What?

Anyway, on to the next thing ... family pictures for the Christmas card!

Halloween Party and Carving Pumpkins

Our next Halloween adventure was a fun party with some families from church. The weather turned out to be perfect and chilly towards the end. It was a lot of fun and we all got dressed up for the occasion.

Mickey, Minnie and minnie Minnie

I made Seth and Shelby's costumes and my cousin Aubrey was Minnie a few years ago so I borrowed her cute costume to go along with the gang!

We were the hit of the party! lol ... well, at least Shelby was!

Nick was real original and dressed up like a baseball player.

Later we carved pumpkins and boy did everyone have fun with that! Check out the face Seth drew ... I helped with the mouth.
Seth was all about using the special pumpkin carving tools!

Look at that dedication ... and aren't you jealous of those eye lashes!?

Pure excitement!

Here's what we ended up with. Nick's on the left, Seth's in the middle and mine on the right ...

Of course Seth was all about the fire.

He was trying to make the same face as his pumpkin!

Yeah, for Halloween! And we still haven't gotten to the trick-or-treating yet ... one more Halloween Post to come!

Monster Parade and Halloween Cookies

Halloween!

Seth was so excited for Halloween this year. He picked out his (and his sisters) costume well in advanced and we were ready to go! He was Mickey Mouse! We had several Halloween activities that kept us pretty busy around here for a lot of the week. The first chance we got to put on his costume was his preschool party. It was the first time he had the whole costume on together and he was pretty excited about it!

Nick was suggesting poses and Seth was getting a kick out of it!

He couldn't wait to get to school and see all his friends in their costumes.

Right after class started they had a fun costume parade around the school. It was pretty cute to see all the kiddos proud of their Halloween apparel.

Aren't they all so cute ... I'm not gonna lie, I can't wait for the princess phase myself!

After we tried to get a group shot, but 12 3 year olds aren't exactly the easiest to cooperate together. Anyway, Seth is on the right not looking at the camera ...

This is his friend Addison ...she was Diego!

Later that night we decorated Halloween sugar cookies. Don't ask me why Seth doesn't have a shirt on, he decided he didn't want it and I didn't want to fight about it. Truth be told he originally didn't want pants on either, but we made a compromise and ended up with this charming White Trash look!

Seth was all about the sprinkles .... do you think that pile is big enough?

This picture cracks me up because he has green frosting in his arm pit! LOL

Shelby had gone to sleep but decided to get up once we were decorating cookies. Seriously, she never gets up once she's in bed. I think we have a future baker in our sight! She sat there and watched quietly the whole time just taking it all in.

This was my personal favorite cookie of the night. Seth decorated it and he was really proud of doing it all by himself! LOL (do you like that pez added on there!)

I guess it tasted better than it looked!

Here are some more of our hard work!

Halloween has been so much fun! More posts to come with Shelby's cute costume too!
