The night before Nick's birthday we didn't get the best night's sleep ... so we kind of had a lazy afternoon (or at least I did). Seth was a little fussy and fell asleep with me in bed after feeding him. Nick took this picture while we were both sleeping. He's so precious! :)
Daddy turned 25 and his dad and sister came into town for the big occasion (and the new grandson may have had something to do with it too!) We went to Good Wood BBQ for his birthday with the family. Seth was such a good boy and slept the whole time until right before we were leaving. He was awake and cute for a little bit and then was hungry! My dad looks really funny in this picture...
The birthday boy got a special treat from the waiter and he was apparently really excited about eating it!
Then we went over the Chelsea's apartment where she made a really cute giant-cupcake birthday cake. Nick blew out the candles and we opened presents.
Which included guitar hero for the wii from me! Nick was really excited about getting it :) He had a great "golden birthday" and was excited to have everyone in town to share it with.
So, now some more cute pictures of my little munchkin! He's so adorable I swear i'm going to need to buy another external hard drive for all the pictures I take of him; I sit on with my camera by me at all times, just in case...yes i'm a very proud first time mommy!
Somebody had a major accident this morning so we had to take all his clothes off and he was more content without new ones on for a while
Big yawn from my little boy!
Seth and Dad on the couch watching TV ... how cute are they?
This was about the only happy moment of this morning. Seth has been so fussy today, it's actually been kind of funny. He'll be completely asleep and then all of a sudden scream bloddy murder out of no where with no warning. Who knows?
Grandma and Grandpa Wofford came down today before leaving to head back to Kansas. Grandma can't stand seeing him without holding him, so she picked him up while he was asleep and this was Seth's reaction! haha :)

Seth's First Days
So, baby Seth Owen finally came on the 18th and was 6 lbs 6 ounces ... just a little guy. I don't want to go into detail too much about the birthing, but it basically started a week before he came and was terrible! We went to the hospital twice with false labor and finally got to stay when we showed up in the middle of the night early early Friday morning. After a crazy day and crazy experience, we finally got to meet the little man whose been kicking me for months! :)
I know there are a ton of picture below, i put so many because of family etc. that are far away and won't get to see him; and I'm a proud mommy! :) It's been a crazy last few days and I'm starting to feel better myself, although I'm not quite back to normal and don't expect to for a while. But here are some new picture of our little one ... we love him and can't imagine him not being part of our family now that he's here!
Here's Seth in bed with mommy and daddy waking up after a LONG first night home from the hospital.
He likes being a little burrito!
Here is the proud Grandma ... of whom we couldn't live with out. Mom stayed with us for the first three nights to help us out and give us some support ... we really appreciated all her help!
Seth loves getting his hair washed with the water running over his head. It's so cute to watch!
All ready for the day after his first bath!
Here is Mr. Sleepyhead in the car seat. Me and my mom ventured out to the mall to get a few things for me. He slept through the entire thing and I felt like a real mom pushing my baby and stroller around the mall. It was a quick outing and I think wore me down way more than anything else.
Someone had an accident explosion early in the morning so we put him in a cute little t-shirt before we gave him a bath and officially got him ready for the day.
Too cute in his little pants! He was going to his first dr. appointment and was such a good boy. He didn't cry at all and was so good.
Here we are in the hot hot car driving home from the Dr. yesterday. Isn't he just adorable? I know I'm bias, but he's so cute. He sleeps so well for hours at a time and when he's awake he's so alert and wants to look around at everything and everyone. It's so much fun and we're having a blast figuring out this parenthood thing.

Baby Seth is finally here
Our son finally arrived and everything went great. He was a little small at 6 lbs. 6 oz. and he was 20 inches long. He's spent most of his life sleeping and getting to know his family. We thought we'd put some pictures up for everyone to see.

His first bath
His first teddy bear from Aunt Chelsea keeping him company
His very proud daddy
His relieved mommy
Look at his all his hair

Right before we headed home

No baby yet!
So, unfortunately I still don't have a baby. He is apparently just comfortable in there and not looking at coming out anytime soon. It's absolutely terrible! :( So, please I could use all your prayers so that maybe the man upstairs will get the hint that I'm finished with being pregnant. I can barely move, am super hot all the time, and i have zero appetite. It's terrible!!!! I know you moms knows at least to some extent how it is ... so hopefully I'll be able to hang in there for another few days (please don't be weeks!)
Hopefully, soon we'll have cute baby pictures to post and that'll make it all a little better ... but until then I'm just sitting on the couch with Oprah waiting, waiting, waiting!

4th of July
Yeah for the 4th of July. It's my favorite holiday of the year; mostly because of all the fun festivities we did growing up! My neighborhood family gets pretty intense with the celebration. Anyway, this is the second year in a row that I haven't been able to be there. Last year we were on our honeymoon cruise and this year we had to stay because of baby Denzer. But, despite the fact that we wish we could have been back in Olathe, we had a fun 4th!
Nick had talked with a couple of his co-workers who weren't doing anything about going to the pool. So, somehow I got into a bathing suit and we hung out at the pool for a while. Don't worry I lathered up on the sun screen and covered myself up, I was not about to get a crazy sunburn! So, we laid out and relaxed in the sun for a few hours before heading to a little burger place called Sammy's off of center street!
Later we both took a two hour nap, which was great! Then I cooked up some shrimp and mushroom Kabobs along with some other tasty treats for dinner. :)
We watched the "stadium of fire" fireworks in our car and then headed back home to do a few fireworks of our own. It was so funny because we only got a few little fountains and some sparklers to do; but, the Mexicans across the street from us saw us doing our sparklers and brought out all 20 of their family members and lined up lawn chairs to watch our fire work show! haha ... there were only two fountains followed by some more sparklers, but it was funny that we had a little audience.
This is a video of our last fountain and it screamed so loud it scared the Mexican lady across the street so bad she screamed! It was entertaining. We had a good 4th and it was actually a nice relaxing day, which is going to be one of the last we get to have just the two of us ... so, it was a great day! Happy 4th of July ... I hope everyone had a good one! :)

Hospital Bag
I need to advice ladies. I've found several lists online telling you what to pack for the big trip to the hospital. Because my due date is creeping up on me I need to get going on this. I know the basics, but I'm hoping that some of you wonderful mothers will have some real life experience advice for me.
So, when you were in the hospital deliveries your adorable babies, what did you bring or what should I make sure not to forget. I just need some pointers please! I'm feeling clueless and could really use some help! Thanks so much!
