It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas ...

So, we took Seth to see Santa the other day. I wasn't sure how he was going to react to a strange old man with a huge beard holding him. But, he LOVED it! :) He was squealing all morning and was so excited. I kept telling him he was going to meet Santa and he would get the biggest smile and wiggle around. He smiled in almost all of the pictures ... the challenge was finding a picture that Santa was smiling in. Although, I think this Santa looks like he could be the real deal, he wasn't very "JOLLY" which is kind of a deal breaker. I mean isn't that kind of his job? Anyway, the picture turned out cute i think.
Here is Seth after sitting with Santa ... he was so amused it was seriously so funny!

And here is proof of his excitement for those of you who think i'm just making it up.....
I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner already. This year has just flown by it seems!

Happy December

Seth has been so happy lately ... i'm pretty sure he LOVES Christmas! I've been singing Christmas songs all the time and wrapping gifts, making cookies, decking the halls, etc. He is always smiling and making this funny high pitched squeal! It's hilarious ... anyway, the other day we got some cute snap shots of our happy little guy ...

In the afternoon it snowed and Nick took Seth out to see it. I guess you really can't tell in this picture ... but it was snowing pretty hard!

So, not the most exciting post ... but I gotta update those Grandparents! :)

BYU vs. USU in Salt Lake

Last weekend we went up to Salt Lake for a BYU game. They played at the Energy Solutions Arena (Where the Utah Jazz play). We played Utah State university and they were talking smack pretty much the whole time ... but lets get real, they weren't going to win! It was a fun time.

We weren't quite sure how Seth was going to react to all the loud noise and people. He loved it! He was looking all over the place and trying to figure out where the heck we took him? He was happy and smiley pretty much the whole time, so it was nice for mom and dad!
The Denzer Family.
Mommy and Seth cheering for the Cougars!
Seth was pretty into the game ... and his Binky :)
By the end he was a little over-stimulated I think. He just fell right asleep during the last few minutes of the second half. I don't know how you could, it was pretty loud and crazy at the end!
Seth decided since he took a nap he would just drive us home!

We don't get out much, or so it seems, unless family are in town. So it was fun to go up to Salt Lake and have a little family outing!

Christmas is Coming and Seth is Getting Fat ...

So, I haven't posted in a while because things have been so crazy. I've been trying to get things done and ready for Christmas. Nick and I are taking a crazy road trip with Seth to Kansas and Texas! (please wish us luck ... and if anyone has baby road trip tips, please share!)

Well, last week Seth upgraded to another new wardrobe. (3-6 months and a few 6 months things that run smaller) Anyway, Nick was excited because he now fits into his cute Astros outfit! So here are some picture of the little baseball star in the making ...

Alvin and the chipmunks comes to mind ...

Also last week Seth and I decked the halls! I pulled out this bear that Nick's grandma gave me last year and Seth thought it was so cool. Correction, he THINKS it's so cool! The bear opens up and tells the story of "The Night Before Christmas." There are little people and Santa Clause that move around inside. Whenever he's fussy we put him by the bear and just keep pushing the button ... he loves it! :)
His new trick is to grab both of his feet and just hold on to them and do some sort of crazy splits in the air. I think he just discovered that he had feet and now he's stretching his muscles for his upcoming baseball games!
Later that day he started trying to suck on his big toes. I tried to snap a picture, but he was a little camera shy about this talent.

Here's Daddy and baby Santa Clause!
Here's our little happy boy. He's beginning to become more independent and can play by himself, as long as there are things to entertain him, for half an hour or sometimes even longer! :) yeah, for mom!

rolie polie olie and the giggle monster

Seth has learned some new tricks and we're having fun playing with him now that he's a lot more interactive with us. So anyway, Seth has begun laughing all the time! He is quite the comedian and loves to laugh at mom, dad and even himself. Here are some videos of him laughing...yes i sound like a dork! (But hey isn't that a synonim to mother?) Enjoy!

Seth is also moving around quite a bit now. Here is a video of him rolling over one of the first times. He started this the day before thanksgiving and it's so funny to watch him. He'll roll over all the time and then he doesn't really know what to do once he's there ... and he can't quite figure out how to roll back either. So, he really gets himself into a pickle.

Turkey Day

Well, this is a little late getting posted, but i've been busy decking the halls and Christmas shopping. Not to mention Seth has become pretty needy so finding time to post has been difficult! Anyway, we had a GREAT thanksgiving! My parents came down and we all had dinner at my grandparents house in Sandy. Nick was busy studying a lot of the weekend, but it was really great to get, what felt like a break from everything; and of course to see mom and dad ")

So during the day on Thanksgiving Seth and Daddy had a football dual. Seth's team ended up coming out ahead ... he was pretty excited about it!

Seth decided to work out a little before all the Thanksgiving food ... he really needed to do some pull ups!
Nick decided he wanted to show off his culinary skills and make a fancy Apple Pie. It was even a Paula Dean recipe. Here is the man himself doing his thing in the kitchen.
Look how fancy he made it ... honestly I barely even helped. We were all so impressed and proud of our first time pastry chef!

Yes, a fabulous Denzer Family Picture was taken before dinner. Here are a few of the "better" ones ... I looked ridiculous in every single one.

My crazy cousin Nathan decided to bring over his Army Tank for Thanksgiving dinner. Didn't you bring one to your Thanksgiving? Anyway, we got some sweet pictures with Seth and the Tank.
Here is Grandma Wofford carving up Tom the turkey. He was having a lot of fun with the meat carver! :) (not really, just thought i'd throw that in there)
And here is the finished product of Nick fancy apple pie ... doesn't it look yummy?!
Seth was so tired after eating all that turkey and potatoes ... he was seriously knocked out!
Grandpa Larsen showed Seth his music box and was singing songs to him. There are little people dancing on the bottom and Seth thought it was pretty fun to watch them twirl around.

Anyway, Thanksgiving was a lot of fun and we can't wait until we get to see the rest of our family for the holidays.

BYU's Shameful Excuse for a Throwdown!

The much anticipated BYU/Utah final game of the year was last weekend. We were all decked out in our BYU apparel and ready for the game. We had football foot (i.e. pigs in a blanket, nachos, a few dips, cookies, etc.) However, BYU truly played horribly. Max Hall was ridiculous and pretty much lost the game for us single handedly! It cannot be blamed on refs, bad calls, home field advantage for the Utes ... we just really sucked!!!! :(

However, for at least the first half we enjoyed ourselves. Seth was all decked out in his BYU gear and had a fun time watching football with dad! :)

For some reason this seems to be his favorite way to watch TV. Whenever he's laying on the couch he tends to wiggle his way into the crack in the cushions and dangle his head over the side! It's pretty funny and he gets a kick out of it too! :)

Here's a video of Seth's rendition of the fight song ... he thought it was pretty funny, or maybe he just loved all the attention!
