It's a Boy!

It's a boy! I guess I was wrong about my baby girl on the way. But, we're super excited to finally know. We can now call our baby a boy instead of it or just "the baby."

Anyway, last night was so crazy. I couldn't sleep because I was so excited to finally know a little more about our baby! It was almost like the baby was excited too ... for the first time so far, the baby was kicking me all night. It was like his way of telling us he was excited that we'd get to know he was a he the next day! Maybe i'm just ridiculous ... but I thought it was pretty cute.

Then, when we went to get the ultra sound he was being so shy. He turned toward the inside of me so we could never really see his face. I even moved on my side and he immediately turned even more. He better not be camera shy when he comes out because he's the first grandbaby on both sides and the first great grandchild on my mom's side ... so there are going to be all kinds of cameras around; not to mention those from mom and dad! :) So, i guess he's being a little shy like his daddy!

We're excited and can't wait to see our little baby boy in a few months! :)

Nick the Handy Man

Okay so this is the most ridiculous story! The people who live below apparently have a leak in their bathroom coming from the ceiling. So, naturally they think it may be coming from our bathroom. So, our crazy landlord calls us and asks if he can come over to look at it and then "hire someone to come fix whatever needs to be fixed."

* Side note at this point we both have the flu worse than ever in our lives and the last thing i want to do is straighten things up and make myself look presentable so my landlord can come over! *

So, he comes over and I'm hiding out in the bedroom making Nick talk to him and figure things out. Well, he looks at it and then convinces nick to fix it himself! He tells Nick that he's going to go to the store and buy some Caulking so Nick can fix what he thinks is the problem!

So, Nick tells him that he doesn't really know what he's doing but that he can try. "Okay, great! Because I really don't want to have to hire someone just for this!" says our landlord!

Nick comes back with the story and I'm laughing and coughing to death as he's telling me because I'm pretty sure watching Nick do this is going to be funny! Not to mention that the areas he wanted Nick to caulk aren't even places where water really leaks into either? So, I'm pretty sure at some point he's going to have to hire someone anyway to come out and see what the problem is!

I'm sure most people who see this will not think it as funny as we did ... but our landlord is ridiculous. And it's a good thing I have such a handyman around the house! :) haha

I Voted

So, this picture is crazy and it happened weeks ago, But ... I was just really excited to have been one of the millions of people to vote for Mitt Romney before he dropped out!

Since I had to register to vote in Utah and i live in Provo, I went to city hall to vote and was seriously about 40 years younger than every other person voting there! It was great!

Chelsea and Nick made fun of me for being so proud to have voted! I wore my sticker proudly all day ... haha! :)

So, here I am four months pregnant ... I'm not really showing a ton yet, but it's defiantly begun. I'm in that awkward stage of not being able to wear maternity clothes quite yet, but they aren't too far out! Oh, geez!

We find out in a few weeks if it's a boy or a girl so cast your vote to see who wins!

Yes, we are ridiculous and made a poll on our blog for this. We are just excited to be proud parents in the future!

Okay, so i don't really know how this whole blogging thing works so just keep in mind i'm new at figuring this all out.

Nick and I are in Provo and as my mom tells people, we live in front of a car dealership. haha! Anyway, Nick is finishing up school and will graduate this summer from BYU. I'm working in Park City at the Marriott Mountainside ... it's crazy, and i hate the drive; but you gotta pay the bills i guess!

More recently we found out we are expecting a baby this summer! We're excited about it and can't wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl!!! I'm really hoping for a girl ... but i'm sure i'll be super happy with either! We find out at the end of the month.

Other than getting ready for the new addition to our familia ... Nick just took the LSAT and is planning on attending law school in the fall. Who knows where that'll be? There are a ton of important question marks in our future that will be filled in with in the next few months. So maybe if i can figure out this blog thing i can keep friends and family up to date on everything!
