I know right, does this trip ever end? In fact it does. We went back to Utah through Kansas and stopped at my parents house and stay for a day to re-coup (and re-pack). On our way through Oklahoma there was a huge accident right in front of us a few hundred feet. You can see the smoke in this first picture. A car toppled and lit on fire ... we were stuck in the car FOREVER!!!!
Seth seemed to have fun in the back seat. Eventually we just put the car in park and got him out and played for a while.
You can see the car burned to a crisp in this picture ... it was CRAZY!
Seth enjoyed some quality time with aunt Chelsea; and this loaf of bread for some reason really amused him!
We stayed over night in Denver and this picture is for us to remember staying in the hotel room with Seth but only actually getting a combined 3 hours of sleep (maybe?). Seth got a cold before we left Kansas and was miserable. He could breath because his nose was clogged and he was just so pathetic ... it broke my heart.
Nick grew his facial hair out over break. I really don't know what it is about guys and their facial hair? Nick darkened his mexi-stash with mascara before shaving it. He pretty much looks Uber creepy holding Seth here. And poor Seth was so sick, he just looks pathetic and aloof here.
He was glad to finally be home and in his own real bed! (and so were we!) He was whiny and sick for about a week and a half and just acted tired and lethargic. Poor guy ... no fun having a sick baby who can't tell you what's wrong.
The trip was fun, but we are NEVER doing that again! It really was great to see everyone, but we just tried to cram too much into too little time. Way too much driving, way too many people and too many holidays. We're glad to be back home in our element and back to our normal routine. One of the hard parts for me was everyone wanting to hold Seth all the time. I'm used to having him pretty much to myself (when Nick's not home) and having so many people passing him around and everything just made me nervous. I'm glad to have him back to myself ... yes, i guess i am a selfish mother, but i don't care! I just love my little man!

Wow- what a trip and with a sick baby! I feel bad you spent money on a hotel room in Denver, because you totally could have stayed at our house. If you ever dare to make the long drive again, feel free to stay here. I'm so glad Seth is feeling better. Being around all those people and their germy hands, no wonder he got sick. =)
